I am starting to get crafty again!

I know I know it has been months since I updated last. But I haven't been in crafting mode much. I just got the mojo back!

Here are a few of my latest projects:

This one I used terra cotta saucers, spray paint and scrapbooking paper to make a few coasters. This is not an original idea I found it on a blog. I wish I would have booked marked it there were lots of great ideas on the blog. If I find it I will pass it along.

The next two pictures are of canvases I mod-podged some scrapbooking paper to them. I am going to hang one set of canvases in the master bathroom and the other set in the guest bathroom.

Tyler's 4th Birthday

We had a few friends over the night on his birthday and is Godmama came down to visit us with her little guy that weekend!

The EPIC snow

We got about 2 ft of snow on Saturday and then today we got about another foot of the white stuff.

I am officially mad at snow and winter.

I am in so much pain for all the shoveling. Thank goodness my neighbor got a snow thrower last night and helped me dig out today while Matt was working another 12 hour day because of the weather.

Now the snow is starting to slow but the wind is picking up and I am praying we don't lose power. We need heat for the toddler and or my dad.

They are talking about more to come Monday. I think if that happens a lot of people will start popping Lexapro.

Come on Spring thaw we need it!

I can't believe we are in Feb already

It is Feb 3rd already.

So far I have this year I have learned to knit and have decided to knit some scarves as Christmas presents.

I am down 15 lbs and I weigh in tomorrow at Weight Watchers. I also joined the YMCA today so I can work on getting a work out plan going with my new eating plan!

I have been making my business calls! I am also decided to run a Valentine's Day special.

I take the first step in getting our fiances in order. I will report more when I know more.

Ty is adjusting to 4 well. He is turning more and more into a little person every day. No more baby.

Happy New Year!

I know it has been 5 weeks and it is almost February but I am here now to update.

Things got a little crazy around the holidays. We have been trying to get back into the swing of things....find our routine again.

A few things to keep in mind as you read. My word for 2010 is FOCUS. I need to focus on my health, my business, my family and our household ie fiances and organizing. So with that said I have decided to break my year down into quarters. So you will see a end of March deadline on some of the updates below.

Here is some updates.

So I have been on Weight Watchers for 15 weeks and I have lost 14.5 lbs! I am pretty proud of myself. I have been making positive changes in my diet and I have increased the amount of activity I do in a day. I am hoping to lose another 5-8lbs in by the end of March.

We are currently working on buying paint for the master bedroom! I can't wait to get in there clean out stuff we don't need like old clothes and shoes and putting a fun color on the walls! I am hoping to score some new bedding! We will see what I can find in our price range once the painting and decluttering is done. This project had a March deadline as well.

Matt has gotten a second job so we have some extra money to get our fiances back in shape foe the year. With Matt starting this second job I am working hard on getting 1-2 jewelry parties booked a week so we can start 2011 in better shape then we started 2010.

Tyler turned 4 on 23rd(yesterday). He is getting so and he talks nonstop. We had a little party for him last night with some of his friends and their parents. My best friend(his godmother) came all the way down for Staten Island to celebrate with us! We had a great time and Tyler loved having all his friends over to see his new train set he got.

SNOW!

It is snowing here today and I am wondering if it is every going to stop.

We had to cancel our plans to go away for the night CHILDLESS due to the weather. But Matt promises we will get our night away for the nut hut at which we live.

SO with our snowed in day we started out with breakfast at a local diner and a trip to Home Depot for a tot size shovel and ice melt. Then we have cleared the drive and walkway 3 times, made peppermint bark, cleaned and wrapped gifts. We still have to mop, laundry and bake for tomorrows Christmas gathering at our house.

I think I have a winner

I think I have decided what picture to use for our Christmas cards this year. Well there is going to be two....One picture is of Matt, Ty, dad and I....That one is going to friends and family from Brooklyn. Every year I get asked how dad is doing so I decided to send a picture to show them he is doing very well! The other picture is of the three of us out in the yard. That will go to all our friends and Matt's family. These wonderful pictures were taken by my friend Kristen Dunne to your right is her photography blog. She does amazing work! Thank you Kristen!!!

Now all I need to do is digitally scrapbook the cards and send them off to Send Out Cards!

Tell me why I was up at 6am???

We have been busy,busy this past week. Decorations are up, gifts are bought and almost all wrapped! I also has 3 events for my jewelry business. I feels good to get out and meet new people and be able to give them the gift of sterling silver!

Yesterday I meet my in-laws at the halfway point and past off the toddler for the night. I was very much looking forward to good, uninterrupted nights sleep. Did I get NO.

I got home around midnight from my show and was up at 6am.....Yup am. What's wrong with me has my body forgotten how nice it is to get more then 5 hours of uninterrupted sleep??

But I have made good use of my toddler (and husband too) free time. I have put away the summer clothes and hung up my winter clothes. I decided that it is Dec 5th and snowing wet flaks it must be time(even though it was in the upper 60's just 3 days ago). I cleaned and grocery shopped for my shopping open house today(1-4pm if you are in the area).

Now I am working on setting up my display and getting my Internet fix.

Thanksgiving weekend

We had a great time at Nana and Pop pop's(Matt's parents) on Thanksgiving. We eat a great meal and had a great time visiting!

Yesterday was Black Friday and I thought I wasn't going to get any shopping done since Matt was working and I had Ty. But when there is a will there is a way. I decided at 730am Ty and I were going to Kohl's. We got there at 8am and was out by 9am with gift bought for mostly everyone on the list. Ty's behavior was great so he got some cars as a treat!

Then we went to Weight Watchers and I stayed the same not bad for eating a big meal the day before!

Our last stop(or so I thought) was the grocery store. I had a craving for homemade chicken soup. So I got all my supplies and headed home. Then I discovered the stock pot was nowhere to be found. Off to Kmart we go. I got the stock pot and then the challege came. Every alsie had some kind of toy in it. Ty was having meltdowns left and right. Finally payed and was on our way home. The soup turned out great!

This morning at 7am(was offically off on call) I got dressed and headed out to Toys R Us. I was in and out and got eveything on my list all under 45 mins.

We spent the morning decorating and now we are heading out to Walmart. Wish us luck!

Mommy why you yawn?

That was the question my son (age 3) asked me this morning.

Let's see son you did not sleep through the night in 4 nights and the only reason why you slept last night was because I slept with you so that we can get some sleep.

Which I didn't sleep well. I was up at 3am like every other morning the child wakes. I was waiting for the party to start like it always does but to my surprise he snored his way through the 3am hour right to the 645am hour. I like 645am much better then 3am. I hope we can have a repeat tonight and maybe just maybe I can do it in my own bed not with Ty in his.

I don't know why he has decided against sleep lately.....I really don't but it is making for some cranky parents.

Our Sunday

So Sunday was our only weekend day to do something as a family since Matt had to work and be on call on Saturday.

I decided it would be a great day to head to Longwood Gardens in Kennett Square,PA and afterwards run a few errands. Well our day started at 330am. Ty got up and would not go back to sleep....Lucky me!

I wasn't going to let the early morning wake up call ruin the day. At 830am we piled in the car and heading for Longwood(with a Dunkin Donuts stop). We arrive and so far so good! We headed right for the fall train display with Ty leading the way(have I mentioned this kid LOVES trains).

Ty ran around and around the display( did I mention this is his 3rd time to it. He would explain what trains were going around the display to anyone who would listen.

After we finished at the train display we headed for the conservatory. I was every excited to see all the fall colors they had up! It was the last day for the display and it did not disappoint me.

We did spend to much time in the conservatory Ty was trying to go for a swim in the pools. We left there and the toddler melt downs started(remember he has been up since before the chickens)we knew they we going to come we just hoped they would have waited until we were out of Longwood. It makes the walk to the car so much longer when you have to stop every few feet to either watch the child throw themselves on the ground or pick them up because they can't or wont walk. Finally we make it back to the car.

Now it is decision time...do we continue with the errands we have to run or go home where he is going to be grumpy and not nap. So we decided to share his good mood with others.

First stop was Best Buy we wanted to do a little browsing and I needed a flash drive. Well he latched on to this Jeep toy thing that I think was more for the computer then a toy. So the throwing ourselves on the floor and mommy pick me up started again. So I made my way over to the computer section were I was approached by a man trying to sell me on Comcast. HELLO crying, whining child and you want to know who I get my Internet from. Told him I was in love with my FIOS and moved on. Found the flash drives and made our way to the check out. Now the toddler is starting to settle down! It was short lived. At the check out they had all kinds of candy(why oh why do you do that to parent??). He started freaking out over M&M's which he was not getting. Finally out of the store and back in the car. I am sure the people of Best Buy were not sad to see us go.

Decision time again...Do we go to New Balance for new sneakers for the toddler??? Sure why not...right? To our shock he was great! Picked out sneakers and tried them on like a pro. We pay and head for the car. Then he asks I want M&M's....ugh.

We head home have lunch and then head to Matt model train club open house. The kid had a ball and was well behaved until time to leave. We wrestled him to his sit and then took off. The whole way home (until he passed out....finally) he yelled about wanting a hot dog.

We had hog dogs for dinner just for him.

Time for some painting

I have been wanting to paint our master bedroom for months. Matt wanted my to wait until the winter. Well we are just about there and now I have to make a color decision.

I am I would love to make one of the walls an accent wall and the rest a neutral. Matt doesn't love that idea. So I am going to put it to a vote on my blog. I am hope with some feed back we can make a decision.

So Sleepy

Late night my friend Erin hosted MNO(moms night out)at her house. She just got a new flat screen tv and she decided it would be fun to have us over eat some snacks and watch Twilight(yes we are all over the age of 14 and enjoy ourselves a little Edward and/or Jacob) of the big tv!

We had a great time!!!

There were 7 of us and Erin's brave husband Jeff. We laughed so hard I was almost in tears. 5 out of the 8 of us that watched the movie have read the book OR seen the movies before(more then once for some). So there was a whole of that not how it is on the book and we had to catch the 3 non readers up to speed because in my opinion the movies missed so key elements from the book. We wrapped up the party around 11:15....way past my bedtime.

So I get home and hope right into bed so I can get some sleep before my toddler 5am wake up call. Well the 5am wake up call turned out to be a 2:30am wake up call. So from 2:30 til about 4am my wonderful son would not go back to sleep. Finally get him back to sleep and get myself back to sleep it quickly turned to 6am and time for Matt to get up and ready for work. Lucky me!

Since we were up with the chickens I put together a very long to do list so I can keep busy and hopefully awake all day. The list is full of fun stuff like laundry. I am giving up on hope the laundry fairy is going to visit my house this week and do the laundry and put it away for me. Cleaning....lots of cleaning...office, kitchen and the usual follow the toddler around and pick up the destruction in his wake. One bright spot is playtime at Ty's friends house this afternoon. I am sure by the time we head out for the play date we will be more then happy to get out of the house for a while. I know my dad enjoys the quite when we are gone.

Well I better get started on my long to do list while I still believe I will not fall asleep standing up.

Weight Loss and the Dentist

What do they have in common you ask....Nothing...It just that it is Thursday and I weigh in at Weight Watchers on Thursdays and I had a dentist appointment today because my left rear molar has been hurting when I chewed.

So my big weigh in I lost 1.4 pounds this past week and I am .6 pounds away from the 10 pound mark!!!!! Woohoo Go Me....Go Me!!!

I started this weight loss journey 4 weeks ago and I think I am doing really well so far! I didn't realize 4 weeks ago when I started that I need to do this so I can go off a medication I just started last week. While at the doctor for a sinus infection he went over my blood work and the labs came back that I am diabetic. So now I am on the I need to lose weight fast so I can get off this pill and maintain with diet and exercise. Talk about a wake up can and motivation. My mom passed away 6 years (almost 7) ago from complications from her diabetes. I don't want that to happen to me so I am telling everyone who will listen(mainly my therapist because I pay her to listen to me) that I am going to loss weight I am going exercise and I want everyone to hold me accountable. I want more babies(yes babies; two more maybe) one day and I need to this for my current family and the one we plan to have in the future.

Okay so that is my weight loss news. Now on to the dentist.

I have been having a little pain in my left rear molar for about 2 weeks. I decided to head to the dentist so I can prevent a root canal and get it filled(did I mention I have cheap Irish teeth as my dad would say). So I get there.... xrays taken....dentist comes in and says I think you need a root canal. Great, wonderful....back to the waiting room I go so I can wait to take to billing and scheduling. I get called back and I am told that the root canal will be $827 out of my pocket the insurance company will pick up the other $1,500. Which I already new because I am still paying off my April root canal out of pocket expense(remember cheap Irish teeth). So I sign my life away for another $827....what is another almost $1,000 in debt at this point right. I am scheduled for the root canal at 1030am(today). Great, lets get this over with.

While I wait to get called back I text the husband to let him know we are now $827 deeper in the hole and I call Ty's preschool/daycare and let them know I maybe late for pick up at noon.

I get called back and the dentist gives me great news he is going to drill first to check the extent of the cavity and if all looks good he will fill the tooth and save our Christmas( I figured of I needed the root canal I could ask Santa or anything else and Matt would have to enjoy my new root canal too because that's all we were getting this year). Since God was on my side this morning he ended only needing to fill the tooth and while he was in there he fill the one in front of it because it need a filling too(cheap Irish teeth remember).

So all in all pretty good day......1.4 pounds lighter....filling instead of a root canal....and Ty has yet to pee on the floor.

Where are your brown shoes?

So where are you shoes is a common question in our house. I swear someone or something eats my child's shoes. Every time we go to leave the house we spend 5-10mins looking for shoes(brown shoes, sneakers, Thomas the Tank Crocs or the red and blue Crocs).

We look under the sofa...nothing, we look in the bedrooms...nothing, we looking in the basket where they belong...nothing. How can this be???

Sometimes I luck out and find a pair in the car. See the coolest thing in Ty's toddler mind right now is walking in from the car shoe and sock less......I wonder if that is going to stop once it get colder....hmmm I will keep you posted.

So this how the shoe search is going this week.

The other day we searched and searched for Ty's brown shoes for our family pictures we were have taken at our house by my awesome photographer friend Kristen. Couldn't find them anywhere....not even in the car. So we had to squeeze his foot into his old brown shoes that were about a size to small because he was not going to wear his Crocs(the only shoes I can find). After the photo shoot he removed the too small shoes and put his Crocs on and hide the size too small shoes.

So this morning we were running late(like always) because dad needed to use the bathroom just before we were ready to leave(mind you asked 15 mins earlier if he had to go). So while we are waiting for grandpa to finish we start the dreaded shoe search. Do you think I could find any that fit(we found ones that were to small) NO. Then I remember that the Thomas Crocs are in the car. Great! Now do walk out and get them or make him walk to the car with out shoes. Yeah we opted for the walk with out shoes since he was already halfway out the door(once he is ready to he is ready to go).

But this still doesn't answer my question as to where are your brown shoes. How can I only find Thomas Crocs(which he is about to outgrow)? Where is the other red and blue Croc???

So this afternoon I will be send out the search party for the brown shoes and the missing Croc....If located they will go back into the basket were they belong and we can start the Where are your shoes? process.

Getting back into blogging

So I was at my Tuesday Marketing meeting that my friend Donna puts on and everyone at the meeting that follows me on Facebook asked to get back into blogging so I can give details about my crazy status.

So here I am trying to get back into blogging. I can't promise I will blog daily or even weekly but I will try to update often.

So what has been going on since January. Hmmmm....let's see.

Tyler is getting bigger by the day. I can't believe he is going to be 4 in January. WOW time flies. He is doing well in school. I think he is starting to like it a lot. Now if I can get him to sleep past 5 am on most mornings I will one happy mommmy.

Matt is doing well. He is working hard at work and got a pay decrease of his raise this year. Gotta LOVE the state. On the upside he still has a job right.

Dad is doing well and I am hoping to take him over to Ireland for a 3 month stay sometime late spring/early summer.

Me I have been back on the weight loss bandwagnon. I went back to Weight Watchers 4 weeks ago and I am already down 8 lbs!!!! I was diagnosed with diabetes last week. The doctor hope some weight loss and diet changes I can go off the meds I am currently on for diabetes. I have been working hard at booking shows for my Sterling Silver jewelry business and I started selling and taking wellness products(if you want more info let me know!)

So that is just a little run down. Now I have to get back to the laundry since the laundry fairies missed my house this week. I hope they come next week and bring the mop fairies with them.

Well it is the start of 2009 and I am looking forward to the new year ahead of us.

I have a few goals I would like to accomplish this year.

First is I joined a 365 project group on Flicker. The goal of group is take a photo a day. I am hoping for 2 things for this to happen with this goal. One is learn how to use our Canon Rebel digital SLR and the other is to make a really cool book at the end of the year about our life in 2009.

Second is to lose weight. I have had so much stress in my life over the past 2.5 years that I lost sight of myself in that time period and put on the weight I worked so hard to lose before I had Tyler and right after I have had him I worked really hard to get back to the prepregnancy weight. Which I did and then some.

Third is to paint and organize the rooms in our home. I know I am not going to get it all done in a years time because we started this goal in 2008 and I think we made great progress with all the craziness in our lives.

Fourth is to pay down credit card debt and put more money into savings. We started this in 2008 and we are going to make bigger strides in 2009. Pay close attention to what goes out in a month and make and stick with a budget.

Fifth is make more time to take little trips as a family. This goal is hard for us since I take care of my dad full time and he need 24/7 care. Which means I have to pay someone to be here with him when I can not be. So we are hoping to take a few camping trips with another family we like to vacation with that has kids around Tyler's age.

Sixth is to focus on my business. So I can grow a team and help contribute to paying down our debt and save for a new car with this money. I have made separate goals for my business and I have a few friends helping me come up with a great business plan and marketing ideas.

Seventh is to stay organized with files, so that at tax time I am not trying to find things in the "safe place" I put them . We have a ton of mail that comes here in a day. So I want to sort it and file in its home the same day it comes. So it does it get lost in the shuffle of life.

Eighth is to spend less time on the Internet so I can focus my energy on the house(keeping it organized) and on more teachable moments with Tyler.

Ninth is to spend more time with just me and Matt. I our crazy life sometimes we don't get to spend time just me and him. I am hoping to have date night once a month and plan a few trips this year for just us, no dad and toddler, time for just us to catch up with each other.

Finally my tenth is to just be happy with all the blessing I have in my life and stop focusing on the negative or the could have, should have, would have.

The pumpkin patch

We attempted the pumpkin patch at Milburn Orchards last Friday. I say attempt because as soon as Tyler saw the sand box he was no longer interested in picking out a pumpkin. So we played at the sand box and then finally Ty was ready to find the perfect pumpkin. Then there were some tears because he wanted to go back to the sand box but we did not have time because Matt had to go to work. But Tyler was happy again after the nice cashier gave him a apple to munch on.

I can't believe it has been a month.

Wow we have been busy over the last month.

Matt worked a ton of overtime the weeks before he had surgery on his sinuses. The surgery went well and he took about 2 weeks to recover and was out of work for about 2and half weeks. He has gone back to work this week and says he is breathing 10 times better. which makes me happy because he is no longer waking me up in the middle of the night with the up and down to clear his nose. Now if we can get Tyler to sleep through the night we will be golden.

We have also been busy with fun fall activities. With the weather being just gorgeous over the past few weeks. We have been to the park, Longwood Gardens and Matt and I took a trip to Western Pennsylvania to see some beautiful fall foliage and Matt got to do some train watching. I have been one busy scrapper

I guess the new scrap space is agreeing with me! I have been scrapping about a LO a day since I got moved in and organized.

It feels really good to have my own space to hang out in and create. Plus it is great to have a space to call an office. So I can work on business stuff and all my business stuff having a home.

I have also been taking a sketch class at gotsketch102.ning.com . It has been so helpful in helping me find my mojo.

In other news Tyler moved to the Green room this year at school. his first day was September 2nd. He wouldn't let us get a great picture of him but we did get a few.

What I have been doing the last week

I have been painting, purging and organizing our den into my new office/ craft room.

I love the color I picked for the walls. I makes me smile every time I walk in there!

It feels great having my own space to hang out in and not be in the way. So no more scrap booking and pay bills in the dinning room or living room.

Ty had decided to wish me a Happy Birthday at 330am and not go back to sleep until 11am.

Matt pick up Moe's for dinner and bought me some jewelry that I had picked out.

Tonight we are going to clean and get ready for tomorrow night's pizza and beer we are having with some friends.

I know we are 6 days in already. WOW

Things are starting to slow down some for us. We are hoping to just spend this month hanging at home and getting some things done around the house.

Matt is working on the outide and I am going to start working on painting the entry way/hallway/stairs. I am so happy we are getting paint on the walls here. It is really starting to feel like our home and were we are going to stay for awhile.

I am also going to start packing up scrapbooking stuff so I can get the spareroom in to order and I will have a head start on moving my stuff into my new scrap space.

One day I will have my house clutter free.

So my life has been so crazy the last 2 weeks.

Matt has been in Northern CA helping with the fires there for the past 2 weeks and I have been at home tending to the home front.

I have been trying so hard to keep the house in order and keep a 2.5 yr old for hurting himself. Plus keeping up with my dad. I am TRIED.

So the house looks great, laundry is in the washer and Matt is on a plane on his way home and should here anytime now!

I am so excited to see him!!!! I was so afraid I was going to leave for Kansas City before he got back. But it has worked out that we will have a whole day together before I leave!

I can't wait to go to Kansas City! I am really looking forward to some time away for my crazy life here. It will be good to have some me time and time with some friends.

So today was my day of beauty. I got my nails and my hair highlighted and cut. I Love my new hair!!!

I can't believe it. I guess time does fly when you are having fun.

We have been busy the past few weeks. Getting Matt ready if he gets the call to head out west to help with the fires there and I have been getting ready for my jewelry open house that is coming up this week and getting for conference(for my jewelry business).

I took the month of June off my jewelry business to work on finding a new agency to help with my dad's care. I was having major issues with the agency we had and had to find a new one. It was driving me nuts that I had to call when no showed or there was a miss communication on everyone else part but their own. The straw broke the camels back when I had 6 incidents in the course of the weeks. I have since found a new agency and so far so good(knock wood)!

Dad had a cataract removed in the beginning of July and is healing well. He is very excited about having his vision back to normal.

Tyler is going well and is talking more and more each day. He is even starting to make sense. He is loving going to "school" once a week. This week he is staying the whole day so I can prepare for the jewelry open house. I have also been trying to take Tyler fun and educational place during the week. So we have become members of the natural history museum and a local tourist gardens with a really cool children's garden. Today I went and had some portraits taken of him. He did really well! They are a surprise for Matt. I know Matt is going to love them.

I have also come to the conclusion that I have to find Brooklyn (my families/brothers dog) a new home. After living with my brother for almost a year he lost all the discipline and house training he had. I just don't have the time to work with a 8 yr old dog to retrain and discipline. I have tried with some progress over the past year but I just can't take him for the walks he needs while caring for a toddler and a disabled 66 yr old man. So if you know anyone that want a loving golden mix I know a cute one!

After my awesome weekend of scrapping I have done nothing but July ATC for a swap at Scrap Space since. I have been so busy that I have had no desire to create. Plus I started packing up scrapbooking stuff. Once we find Brooklyn a new home I am moving my scrapbooking stuff into the den and Matt is moving to the basement(dog sleeps there now because the cat and him don't get along at night). So I am hoping having a space with everything out and at my finger tips will get in the mood to be creative when the time I have becomes available.

I am going to leave you with this layout I made about Matt playing on some sand box toys. Sometimes that man just makes my laugh so hard.

POTTY TRAINING

Tyler has decided he wants to wear no clothes so it is easier to go potty. I would be fine with this if he made it to the potty all of the time.

So it has been a battle of wills the last 2 weeks.

He undresses I redress him, he undresses I redress him. Some day he would spend all day in pull ups(he no longer likes diapers).

But there was a break through today. He undressed went potty and then tried to redress on his own!!!!

I think it was because he really like to wear any article of clothing with Thomas the Tank Engine on it. So I am thinking if I keep him Thomas clothes he will redress himself.

On the potty front he goes pee pee in the potty very well and will even tell me.

I think that is pretty good for a 2.5 yr old and no forcing by mommy or daddy. He is doing this on his own!

Tailgating Fun

We had so much fun tailgating at the Jimmy Buffett concert on Saturday!!!!

We got there around 1130am set up by noon. We had a sweet set up. A "kitchen" under one canopy, a "pool house" under another and under the tird was our "living room". We also had our own portable toilet(like the ones you take camping).

We had all kinds of fun decorations and a vote for Jimmy for president! If you signed the patition you got a prize it was colorful and to be used with someone you love ;0).

We eat hamburgers, hot dog, chips. cookies and drank lots of liquids(beer and water).

Then at about 7pm we packed up most of the stuff and at 730 we headed in to the ball park.

We sat and waited for the show to start at 8pm and then the rain drops started. I looked at Matt and was like let's head up to the concourse. Well we didn't make it. We got soaked. Then we waited in line for some dry tshirts. At about 9pm Jimmy opened with Let get drunk and you know.

We had a great time watching him play til about 11pm. Before the oncore Matt nad I headed back to the parking lot to see how our friends that stay back to watch the cars(it is Philly you know). Then after the second oncore there were some firecrackers.

We are already planning for next years tailgate party!!!!

I have actually scrapping about a page a day since the Got Skech 101 class started(more info at gotsketch.blogspot.com).

I have been having so much rediscovering scrapbooking again!

Both are of my favorite subject(Tyler).

What else has been going on???

I picked my brother up at the airport last night. He is here for the next 10 days visitng in between class semeseters. He is going to watch Tyler tomorrow while we got and see

We are really looking forward to tailgating with some friends and then heading in to see Jimmy!!!!!

On another note it is HOT, HOT, HOT here. I can't wait for this heat to break on Wednesday! It has been over 90 for like 3 days now.

It is way to hot to go out and Tyler's blow up pool has some holes in it so I have to get him a new one sometimes this week. We have tried the hose on sprinkle but I think he doesn't like because the water is too cold for him when it comes out.

I am also thinking I am going to get a stand up fan for the living room to help move air. We already have 2 fans in our bedroom to help move air at night. One day we are going to get ceiling fans in the bedrooms and we may look into getting a fan in the living room.

As promised here is the layout I scrapped a few days ago!

It felt good to finally sit down and create. It has been so long since I scrapped a layout for myself. I have been busy with swap stuff and circle journal scrapping that I forgot all about scrapping for myself.

I am hoping to create some more tonight. I signed up got Got Sketch 101. It is a online sketch class that starts tomorrow and I can't wait! I have a ton of supplies but never get to use them.

Yesterday we went bicycle shopping for Matt and I. We are giving up our Y membership to help cut back on expenses since gas and food are getting so expensive and Matt is going to start riding with some dad's from my MOMS Club on the weekends and I am going to do some riding with some friends so we can get some exercise and help us lose a few pounds.

Okay when did this happen????

I feel like don't remember any of April and May because they flew by so fast.

I promise I am going to post some pictures that I took this past weekend at work and of a scrapbook page I just finished. Yes that's right I scrapped. It has been so long since I scrapped a page for myself that it felt like the first time.

So I am hoping to post those pictures this week so stay tuned.

NYC

So I meet my friend Kate and her 5 friends in NYC for a little sightseeing this past week. Most of the ladies have never been to NYC before so they wanted to see everything. But we only had 16 hours to see everything.

So we started off from our hotel which we in midtown and heading to Ground Zero. I have not been there post 9-11. It felt strange to be standing there. So days I still think was a bad dream but it was not.

Then we had off to Battery Park to see the Statue of Liberty. So I took a few pics of the girls with lady liberty in the background.

Then we hoped the train and head up to Times Square. We eat at The Hard Rock Cafe
and shopped at M&M World and Toys R Us.

After that we headed back to our hotel to get some sleep because we were going to get up early and head to the Today show. On our way to Rockefeller center we stopped at St. Patrick's Cathedral.Then off to the morning show were we saw then tape a segment outside in the pour rain mind you. After we got on camera we head to check out 30 Rock. There is a observation deck there called Top of the Rock.

I am posting about my living room.

My mother in law came and stayed with us for about 2 weeks so we could get this room done.

My MIL worked for days getting the wallpaper off the walls and prep them for painting. Then we painted and broke out the new furniture I got from Ikea. I love the way the room turned out!!!!!

I came up with a new idea of arranging the furniture. Before everything was spaced out and Ty's toys were in front of the fire place. Now the furniture is in an "L" shape on side of our rectangle shaped room and Ty's toys and train table are on the other side of the room.

Love this new arrangement!!!! It makes the room feel so much bigger then it really is.

Of our newly remodeled guest bathroom! After weeks of dust and our house turned upside down the remodel projects are almost complete for right now. I have a few more projects I would like to get done but they will have to wait.

My hubby turned 30 on April 26th.

So we spent the weekend out in western PA on a rail fanning trip( I think that is the terminology). We had a great time watching trains and spending time together. I got a chance to read 3 books in 3 days. It was great!

We went to Horseshoe Curve in Altoona, PA.

This is a picture of how close the tracks were to the inn we stayed at. The inn's name was called the Tunnel Inn because it was almost in the tunnel.

We got to see a really cool cool train. This train is Norfolk Southerns business train heading to Kentucky for the derby. So there was many railfans waiting to get this picture.

Matt would like to take another trip out that way in the fall so he can get some fall colors in the pictures. So we may try to work out a trip.

Thank you everyone for you support and encouraging words!

I am still waiting a few test results to come in but the bottom line is I have to lose weight.

Tyler and I have been doing more walking and we are going to start back at the Y this week since our colds are gone.

Our master bath remodel is almost finished!!!!!! Tomorrow the plumbers come to hook up the plumbing and then we are good to go!!!!!!

This project has gone on for about 6 weeks and I am tired of the mess. So stay tuned for pics to come.

Next up is the living room. My mother in law and I are starting that project next week. I will post pics of this project as well.

I would post some pics in this post but I am without my computer or my hard drive. My hard drive last week decided to stop working and I did not back up so I am having lots of computer people looking a the hard drive to see if they can get my pictures back.

So please, please back up your computers!

Weight Loss and Getting Healthy

So I went to the doctor the other day for a follow up on my blood work and he was not happy. I wasn't happy myself. Everything was slightly elevated. Which expected because my weight has increased by 60lbs since my dad got sick. I have been emotionally and stress eating for almost 2 years and it has to stop.

So today I am starting my new plan. I am cutting portions, counting calories and walking 20mins 3x a day 4 days a week. Some walking will be at the gym some will be around the neighborhood.

I have to do this so the weight will come off and I will be healthy again.

I was floored when I realized I weigh more now then when I was pregnant with Ty. All I keep thinking is how did I let that happen? when did this happen?

Tuesday was a very busy day for us.

We hosted playgroup, the plumbers were here finishing up the bathroom and my new fridge came.

The bathroom is almost finished all that is left is to put up a few things and then I will take pictures of the remodel. Next on the chopping block is our master bathroom. After the bathroom we are moving on to livingroom.

We are also brainstorming so idea's for the kitchen and the back yard.

Look what I got

So I got up this morning took out the waffles and they we not fully frozen. Then I realized the fridge was not humming.

So off to Lowes I went and I got this

I lucked out. I got this stainless steel fridge for $1,500. It retailers for $2,800. It is the display model.

I can't wait until it comes tomorrow!

So we must say good-bye to our old one.

It was here when we bought the house almost 3 yrs ago and I am sure they used it for many years.

March is almost over

I can't believe March is almost over. I feel like I got nothing done this month because I blinked and the month is over.

So a quick recap of March we demoed our guest bathroom around March 14 and the contractor was here March 17th and started putting up drywall. As of today all that is left is to paint and put in the toilet and sink!!!!! DH and I are going to start painting tonight and Monday the plumber will be here to put in the toilet and sink.

DH and I spent 3 nights and 4 days away from the maddness of our life and celebrate our 4th wedding anniversery. It was great to spend time just us.

Tyler started daycare. He likes it but when I drop him off he screams and cries but his teacher tells me he has a great time after I leave.

We spent Palm Sunday with some family. We had a great time and the kids got to hunt for eggs.

We colored eggs the night before Easter Sunday. Tyler had great fun putting the eggs in the cups of dye and he LOVED seeing the eggs change from white to color. He keep saying wow...wow...wow. I think he is going to have even more fun next year!

Ty's first day of daycare/preschool

So I took the plunge. I signed Ty up for daycare. Since my networking meeting have moved to 8am I needed to find care for him. So he is going Thursday's for half a day and come September he is going to go 2 days a week. He had a good first day yesterday. Next week Nana gets to take him since Matt and I are going away for the week.

What is great about this is I can now take my dad to doctors appts without distraction. I can focus on the doctor and not a screaming 2 yr old.

SO I have spent the past few days decluttering and reorganizing our house. I figured since we have a dumpster I will try to get rid of a lot of clutter we done need. i have also made 2 trips to Goodwill with clothes.

It feels good to be working our way to clutter free.

It also feels good to have consolidated our debts into one payment. No more credit cards for us.

As for this weekend we are going to hang at home tomorrow and on Sunday we are going to a brunch/birthday party at my cousins house. Should be fun!

I am back and little family review

I have been so sick the last few days. I had a cold/flu like sickies since last Friday. But I am feeling much better today, not 100%, but better.

I have worked on few digi LO's over the past week. I have been trying to work on my swap stuff but with being sick it has zapped my scrappy mojo. I am hoping it comes back this weekend!

I took Ty for his 2 yr appt. He is growing so fast! He is 36 ins and 25 lbs. He is starting to use more words and that makes life so much easier.

Matt is doing well and looking forward to our mini vacation in March.

Dad's eye surgery went very well! He is seeing better and will have the other eye done in about 6 months or so.

James is doing well in Washington. He is almost done with this semester and is all ready to go next semester. He will be coming to visit in June for a week. Which is cool because Matt, Ty and I are going to take a little road trip to Balitmore.

I have not had the time in the past fews to post.

We have been busy getting dad ready for eye surgery in 2 weeks. So lots of doctor appointments. We have been working on picking out new tile and paint for the bathroom remodel project we have scheduled to start the begining of March. We have also been busy with working on getting the house refinaced to one of the new lower interest rates. We are going to consoldate our other debt. So now we are only going to have one payment a month and it 4 hundred dollars less then what is going out now.

So with the refi almost complete we can cross off one of our goals for 2008. Next on the goal list is to declutter and organize each room in the house. we are going to room by room declutter, paint and organize. I know it is going to feel so good to get it done!

So for the dinning romm is 90% finished. All that is left is to put some china in the corner hutches. I also reoganized the coat closet. We now can fit coats, shoes and the vaccum in the closet!

The guest bedroom has been an on going project for the past feew weeks. I have been going through boxes and coming up with a plan for storge of office supplies and my scrapbooking stuff. We are trying to get the most that we can out of the room.

I am hoping to remove the wall paper and paint the livingroom in April. I would like to add an Expedit from Ikea for Ty's toy storge in there.

Enough about the house. I went to a weekend crop in Jan and I got 12 layouts done! I was so happy to get so much done in one weekend!

I will post them later. I am also hoping to post some Ty birthday parties as soon as I upload them from the camera.

I can't believe tomorrow is Christmas Eve.

Where has December and 2007 gone?

We are ready for the big day. Gifts are bought and wrapped, cards mailed, menus planned, and the camera is ready to go.

I pick up James from the airport tomorrow night. He is going to spending a week here on the East Coast. Then back to Washington for school and he is going to look for a new job. Right now he is working overnights. He wants something to work better with his school schedule.

I am looking forward to the New Year. I am hoping 2008 is a great year for us. Matt and I are writing down our top 3 goals for 2008 in a few different areas of our lives. I think listing only 3 will help us reach our goals.

So Tyler has been all about climbing lately. He moves his ball pit over to the bay window and uses it to climb onto the window sill and sits down and watches the world go by out back.

Here is how I found him this morning while I was getting his breakfast ready.

Like father, Like Son

Tyler LOVES trains just like his daddy.

We have Thomas the Tank everywhere in the house. So while we were away we have Thomas the Tank all over the house at my aunts. She even went out and bought more Thomas stuff and track so Tyler could play.

One crazy weekend

I picked up Matt at the airport and was in and out in record time.

Got out to Sayre around dinner time. So we checked in and ran to our friends house for pizza. The kids ran around like 3 nuts. Which Ty needed after the 4 hour drive. We head back to the hotel and went to bed around 900 because we were all so tired.

Tyler slept like a champ. The noise drunk people did not wake him. The alarm from the stuck elevator(sp) did not wake him. The drunk people at 2am did not wake him. But Matt I wake up every time he heard anything out of sorts.

So Ty was up at 730 and so were we. Matt showered first. Then I took Ty in with my to shower. We get out and I give Ty to Matt to dress. Ty jumps off the bed and runs into the bathroom and locks himself INSIDE. I get dressed Matt gets the maintenance man. While this is going on I hear a crash. I just know it is the glass from the vanity. Then I hear the scream and then the cry.

Now I am standing at the door pleading with a toddler to open the door. I just know he has cut him self some how. So Matt comes in then the maintenance man and then Ty opens the door.

I walk in and there is blood everywhere. I pick him up and look at his feet. He has about 7 cuts bleeding on his two little feet. I get him in the tub to rinse and check for glass. Matt starts cleaning up. I get his feet wrapped and in his socks and call our friends to see if they have a first aid kit. They do. So we finish packing and check out.

We cleaned his cuts out some more and my friends sister checks him out(she is a nurse) and he was fine. THANK GOODNESS!!!!

SO now comes the drive home in the what we thought was just going to be some flurries. Nope it started to SNOW once we got on the Turnpike. We couldn't even see the lanes in the road and no one was going over 30 MPH. Once we got past the Pocono Mts we were fine.

It took over 6 hrs to get home. NOT fun with a toddler.

So that was our fun weekend.

I am so happy to be home!!!!

We are not planning much travel in the next few weeks so we can recoup.

WOW

I have not blogged in like 2 weeks.

SO what have I been doing the past two weeks.

I spent a week in Washington state. I went to visit my aunt. I helped her with her grand opening show for the jewelry we sell. I also got to meet some gals from scrapgal.com .

It was great to meet these ladies in person. I hope to catch up with them again the next time I am out west. I am hoping that it I can make it work out so I can crop with them!

Ty did great on the plane both ways!!!! I was so happy he did not freak out on the plane. Here are a picture if him on the plane and one of the two of us..

Once in Washington Ty did not believe is sleeping.

So this is how we spent most nights.

The flight back was one of the most turbulent flight I have ever been on. We bounced and shook for over 2 hrs of the 3 hr 40 min flight.

I am still trying to catch up on sleep and resting my banged up bones.

Halloween Fun

On Tuesday at 4:35 I decided we had to carve a pumpkin for Wednesday night. So off in the car Tyler and I went to find a pumpkin. We found a pumpkin finally at one orchard. It was not the prettiest in the back but it carved up nice.

Family Fun Afternoon

Yesterday when Matt got home he wanted to go to the park for some family fun time.

Boy did we have fun. Tyler loves going up and down the slide. I got some really cute pictures of Tyler at play. I also got a cute one of Matt and Tyler coming down the slide. I love watching the two of them play together. I see so much joy in Matt's eyes when they do thing together.

If the weather holds out we may try to head to the park again today. We have get Tyler tired during the day so he sleeps at night. So far the playground is working.

This last picture is of my wall. Yes my son is removing my wall paper. So That means the living room moves higher on the rooms that need to be redo list. We are currently looking for a contractor for the bathrooms. We are going to update the kitchen ourselves and now the living room. I have no idea when we are going to start up stairs. I have to take wall paper down in one room and paint the other two.

Oh what a day

Well I started off yesterday like it was a normal day. It was state holiday so I had to work. I get to work start working on projects and I get a call at 10 am from dad's aid. He had a seizure and was about to start another one. His aid had already called the paramedics and they were on their way. I closed up the office and headed to the hospital. When I got there he had a third seizure in the ambulance an the way there. There were 4 nurses, 3 doctors and the ambulance crew. He was still pretty out of it and twitching. I sat with him for 2 hours while they ran tests. Everything came back within normal range. So they admitted him.

I truly have no idea how my dad deals with this time and time again. I pray that the doctors can come up with a better treatment plan for him. I know this is hard on him. He had just got out of the hospital on September 26 and now he is back in.

The last year and half had been so hard on all of us. I know he wants to live because he keeps fighting. Please say a little pray for my dad.

The YMCA and Weight Watchers

So I am back on the weight loss ban wagon.

I joined Weight Watchers this week and I joined the Y last week.

I am going to weigh in on Wednesdays and I am hoping to hit the Y 3 days a week. I am so happy that I have made the decision to get healthy. I know this is not going to be easy. I have a lot to loss and it is going to be a long road. But I have a great support system. Matt is so supportive and helpful when it comes to the whole we need to find a new way to eat. Plus Tyler is going to eat better. I hope he grows up to be a good eater of a well balanced diet.

Here is a picture of Tyler at the Train Museum last week. He was all over the new kid play area with Thomas wooden rails and GeoTrax. It was a challenge to get him out of the room.

I can not believe it is the 4th of October already! Where does the time go?

So I have been busy planning my next few months of show for Silpada. This is a busy time a year for shows and orders being placed for the up coming holiday season. I am trying to get a few more shows booked so we don't have to worry about spending money on Christmas this year.

I am also hoping that we get out refinance done before December too. I would love to have our credit cards consolidated and money put away for retirement by the end of the year. I would also like to get our household on a budget. I would like to start 2008 with a fresh financial start!

I have also started a new business venture. I have a travel website. You can book flights, hotels, rental cars and all-inclusive vacations all on my site. So if you know anyone who wants to go on a vacation please direct them to my website.

I did not make it to round 2 for the scrapping challenge at Ilove2create.com. But I have a great time with round 1! Here are my cards from my last challenge. They are not as great as I would have liked and they are all basically the same but I was not in the creative mood with my sinus/ear infection. But I am going to use them for my Silpada mailing.

Bad, bad blogger

I am such a bad blogger lately.

We have been so busy. Dad came home from the hospital on Wednesday and he is doing great! It is amazing how when your meds are off you are a different person. Tyler has had a cold all week. So he has not been sleeping well so that means we don't not sleep well. I have a sinus and ear infection and feel yucky.

I also joined the YMCA this week. My friend Erin and I are going to start going on Tuesdays and Thursday while her daughter Ellie is in school. The Y has a baby sitting room so that is where Ty will spend his time.

I am hoping I feel better tomorrow so I can take some time and play with Tyler outside.

I also have to get some cards out to ladies I meet at vendor event last weekend. I like to follow up with a note and then in a week or so a phone call. I am hoping to get some more bookings on the calendar before Thanksgiving. I am also working getting a travel store set up online so we can make a little extra money.

What a week so far

So I most of spent yesterday sitting in the ER with my dad. His meds were all out of whack. One of his levels was so high it was toxic. So he is going to spend the next few days in the hospital so they can get his levels back within the normal range.

Yesterday I had to get 2 layouts uploaded to ilove2create.com by 11:59pm. I am participating in a Scrappin Survivor challenge.

Tomorrow I am heading to my cousins house for some family time and a trip to the mall in King of Prussia.

Friday I have to take Tyler down to his nana and pop pop's house for the weekend. It is going to be a fun ride down because it is NASCAR weekend here. So lots of busy traffic.

So in between all that running around I have to clean the house, go to work, cook and work on my next layout for the challenge. I may go to a crop on Friday.

Oh I have been busy

So on Friday Matt and I took a trip to Brooklyn, NY for my best friends engagement party. We got to get dress up and had a great time! Congrats again Dayna and EJ!

Saturday I had work until 4:30. After work I came home and cooked dinner and clean up the downstairs.

I worked again today and I still don't know what we are having for dinner. After we eat I am going to give the downstairs a quick once over and then I have to scrap my page for day.

Over at Scrapgal we have a page a day challenge going on and there are only 2 days left. I am hoping to complete the last two tonight. So I have all day tomorrow to get my scrap space in order.

I also have to work on my little presentation for my jewelry team meeting on Tuesday night.

I am going to leave you with the last few lo's I have completed for the PAD challenge.

I have been one busy scrapper today.

I got two LO's done! Scrapgal.com is having a page a day challenge. I did today's and tomorrows. I am not sure how much time I will have tomorrow so I wanted to make sure I a LO done.

I am also on MOJO super high with new kit I got from ILove2Create.com . It is there 4th anniversary too. There is going to be so much going on that site this month! I hope I have enough time to get it all in!

Vacation

Matt and I just got back from vacation!

This has been a trip we have really needed. We have so much happen over the last year, we need us time.

We took a trip to a couple's only resort in the Pocono Mts.

We had a get 2 and half days together! We went for walks and talked without interruption from a toddler or from my dad.

We saw The Wrecker's while we were there and they were great!

But boy did I miss Tyler. We had not seen in almost a week. So when we got home Matt meet his parents half way and picked up our little man. I think he missed us! We sure missed him!

Now we are counting down the until our next trip the Pocono Mts. in October.

What we did on Tueday

On Tuesday Tyler and I drove in the pouring rain to visit my very best friend and Tyler's godmother Dayna. We had a great time sitting around and catching on our lives and watching Tyler play. It was well worth the long drive in the pouring rain.

I miss Dayna so much since we live so far apart. I remember not being able to go to the corner store without each other and now we live 2 hours away from each other. But we have the phone, email and text messaging to keep in touch.

I have also been on a creative strike. I have completed 3 lo's the last 3 days and made a tag for Carly's Birthday over at Scrapgal.com.

I am up to 45 LO's for the year. I am almost half way to my goal over 100.

These two LO's show Tyler's growth over his first year. She is growing so fast. I don't normally do 2 pager's but I have so many pictures that I had to do one. I am not 100% happy with but I love those pictures of Tyler!

This one is of Ty and my dad at Tyler's first birthday party. Dad loves to hug and kiss Ty.

I got flowers for my Birthday yesterday! Matt never buys me flowers. He calls them weeds, but yesterday he came home with a dozen red roses.

My mom

My mom passed away 4 years ago in Jan. Last night was the first time I have ever scrapped a page about her. I scrapped the last picture we took of her. It was taken at Christmas, her favorite holiday, she passed away a month later. I miss he so much some days but I know it was the biggest blessing the day she passed away. She has so many health problems and none of the problems were reversible. She had cancer and she was in renal failure. SO she is in a much better place.

SO here is my layout about my mom:

My mom passed away Jan. 2003. She had a lot of health problems. so we felt her passing was a blessing. But with that said I miss her so much. I missed her ar my wedding. I missed her the day Ty was born. I miss her every Christmas. It was her favorite holiday. I wonder what she would think of Matt? I wonder what she would think of her grandson? I miss her telling me what to do (never thought I would say that). I hope she is proud of me. I hope she is looking down and smiling at the grand baby she always wanted to have. I know one thing she is our angel above! I miss you Mom!

I Love 2 Create

I got my kit from Ilove2create.com on Friday and I could not wait to tear into it.

This kit had Rusty Pickle pattern paper, Twinkling H20 Radiant Rain (awesome), and a really cool doodle template.

So when I got back last night from dh and I's night away I broke out the kit and got creative! I did two 6 x 12 LO's. I have never scrapped that size. It was fun!

Our weekend was great! We had a great time at Matt's friends house. But I got no pictures. We got there to late and most people had take off there toga's.

We even got a jump on the Ty Christmas shopping. We are going to buy a one present a paycheck. I am hoping we will have Ty's shopping complete by the end of November.

I am so excited it is finally August! Matt and I have to trips planned this month for just the two of us! I am really looking forward to having so us time. Most days it is about everyone else around us. So it should be nice.

Our first little trip is an over night this weekend. We are going to a friend's house in Hershey, PA for a party and we are staying over in a hotel. The funny part is it is a toga party. Matt wants to dress up so look for pictures next week!

I hoping to finish a project tomorrow. I will post it then.

WOW Last Day of July!

I am in shock that July is only a few hours away from being over.

I has a pretty productive scrapping month. I scrapped 10 LO's this month. I never scrap that much. I just don't have the time. But I have decided that I am going to make the time. I have a goal of 100 LO's this year. I would like to come close!

So here the latest 2 LO's I created today.

On Friday me and two of cousins had a Girl's Day Out.

We went to CKC Valley Forge. We spent a few hours at the convention. I bought all kinds of Senic Route and Basic Gray stuff.

After we left the convention we headed to the King of Prussia Mall for a little shopping. I got some new make-up at BE.

Then it was off to have dinner at one of our favorite restaurants Bahama Breeze. It was yummy!

We finished dinner in enough time to make our show of Harry Potter in IMax 3D. It was great!

It was a great day! We had so mcuh fun!

I created 4 more layouts last night! I am on a roll! I might make my goal of 100 for this year! I am hoping to get in like one or two more today.

Today I have my networking meeting this morning. Ty is going to go to my friends house which he loves because she has 2 girls around his age and they play so well together. Then I am off to get Ty's hair cut. I will post some before and after pictures. This evening I have a jewelry show! It is perfect timing because Friday I am going to CKC and I am going need so cash for new scrappy stuff!

No sleep til....

Tyler's ear infection goes away. We have had 2 slept less nights the last two nights. So I am hoping the meds will kick in soome and help my little guys feel better. He will get 2 dose in today so he should be feeling better by tonight.

Tomorrow Ty goes for a hair cut and boy does he need one. His hair is so long around his ears.

This afternoon we are going on the quest for a new cordless phone. We have been without one for over a month and it is drivng me nuts. It is very hard to run into the kitchen every time (and it is a lot) the phone rings. Ty goes nuts at the gate and I can't see everything he is going in the living room and he is at the age were he can't be trusted alone.

I think we will run out to Joann's too. Matt needs fabric for his toga. Yes, Matt needs a toga for a party we are going to next weekend. I told Matt I am not wearing one. We are to old to "dress up" for a party. Don't worry picture's will be taken!

Where have I been?

Well the answer is all over the place.

On Tuesday morning my dad have a seizure. So I took him to the ER and at 4pm they told me they were going to admit him. So he stayed in the Hospital until Friday. Now he is home and seems to be doing well.

So after I left the hospital on Tuesday we headed down to the beach to have a big family BBQ at Matt's mom and dad's. There were 7 kids 9 and under. Matt's aunt was there with all her family and there families. So Ty got to meet some of his other cousin's. We had a great time and of course it is not a party without a toddler running around in a diaper and of course it was my child.

I also got a few cute picture's to scrap of the kid's playing together and we took a big family picture and of the the 3 I have Tyler is not looking anywhere near the camera. That's my boy!

Then on Wednesday my brother came up to watch Ty while I went to a meeting and then when Matt came home from work we went on a date. We had dinner and had coffee at Border's. When we got home Ty had cut his toe and walked all over the living room so we cleaned his toe and the living room floor.

Thursday Ty and I went to play at play date.

Friday I picked up dad and then headed to a crop. Were I created one 8 1/2 x 11, one 11x 8 1/2 and one 12x12. This was the first time I worked with any other size then 12 x 12. I will post my creations later.

I worked yesterday. Last night Ty got sick at 1130 and had a fever. He is doing a little better today, but now I think I have a touch of something. I left work at 10am and napped until 1:30. I am still feeling sick and haven't really eaten anything, but I am so hungry.

I think tonight after dinner I am going to do a little painting in the dinning room and maybe so scrapping.

I hope I feel better tomorrow I have a big week this week. I have a jewelry show Wednesday and Friday I am have a Girls day out with my cousins. We are heading to King of Prussia for the Creating Keepsakes convention, some mall shopping, Harry Pottery at the IMax theater and dinner at one of favorite restaurants!

Last night I put Tyler in grandpa's lap and they just looked so cute!

I could not get my dad to look up at the camera, but they are still cute!

I think these picture's really show how those two have such a connection. My father gets the biggest smile when he see's Tyler. He also thinks Tyler does no wrong.

I get the honor of work in one of the most beautiful places. Yesterday after I finished up for the day I hung around and took a few pictures of butterflies that we feeding in the backyard habit that we have behind the office at the park.

I love how these pictures came out! I am really learning how to use the different modes on my Canon Rebel DSLR.

I dropped Tyler off at his nana and pop pop's this afternoon for the weekend. So Matt and I are kid free this weekend. We still have my dad to take care of.

With our big weekend kid free we will be finishing up painting the dinning room. I am hoping we can get a dinner in all by ourselves.

I am also hoping to get a mani and pedi tomorrow. I love going for mani and pedi's, it really gives me time to myself! I get to read a book or a magizne without interpution.

I got a few pictures of Ty this morning before we left. I am hoping to upload them later and post some tomorrow.

Just Hanging out

Since it has been so HOT out we have been hanging out at home a lot.

We decided to paint the dinning room. I was hoping it would only takes us 2-3 days but it is going to take a little longer. So I got my fingers crossed for Friday.

We are also working on the plans for the kitchen. We are hoping to add a Breakfast bar and add so color with paint. But we have agreed to start on that project over the winter. Then we are going to redo out bedroom closets and paint that room.

So when we get the dinning room all painted and put together I will post pictures.

This morning Tyler was being so cute sitting on the recliner. So I ran and got the camera and snapped a few pictures.

I also got a few cute picture's of Tyler playing in his ball pit.

I have not done anything scrappy lately but I did get a new toy! I got a Cricut on sale at a local craft store for $139. Matt said if I wanted it to go and get and I did like the second it came out of his month. Hopefully I will get to post so projects soon that I used my new toy!

I have been so busy I haven't had much time to blog.

My uncle and and cousin have left and we have a great visit with them!

I picked up Tyler today from nana and pop pops. He was there this past weekend because Matt was away for a guys weekend with his brother and 2 other guys and I had to work.

Matt and the other guys went to Railfest 2007. He will be home in a little while and I can't wait! When he gets home we are going to clean out the dinning room so we can start painting. We are also going to clean out our bedroom.

I am also hoping to start the moving process of my scrap room and his train room. But before I move into my new digs I have to paint. I want the room to bright and fun! I need this space to help me get the scrapping juices flowing. I can't wait to post before and after pictures! I am really excited I am going to have a space of my own. A place where I can go in shut the door and go into my own world.

I am hoping to have a scrap section and a little reclining chair so I can read without interruptions. I am also going to put a table and chairs in there so I can have friends over to crop. I am hoping to host monthly crops with members of my MOMS Club. I am also hoping to have book club meeting in there when it is my turn to have the club over. So I hope our book club works out!

Hopefully I will have my dinning room painted this week and I can post so I can post so after pictures!

We went to the Toy Train Museum today.

Ty could not understand why he could not take the trains out and play with them. But then when we got into the area where they have train LO's set up. He was so digging the moving trains. Which I knew he would because Matt has one at home and Ty loves it.

My roommate and I once: I never had a roommate.

Never in my life have I: Had detention!

High school was : a blast! We had so much fun!

When I'm nervous : I tell jokes and talk, talk, talk.

My hair : is light brown with blonde highlights. I is so thick and curly my hairdress has to be careful about over textrizing my hair.

When I was 5 : I had long curly hair and wore dresses.

When I turn my head left : I see out my bay window that over look a golf course.

My favorite aunt is : My Aunt Jo Jo my mom's sister. She has been like a mother to me since my mom passed 4 yrs ago.

I have a hard time understanding : Why we all can't love one another. I also have a hard time understanding any lind of cancer.

My ideal breakfast is : a bacon, egg, cheese bagel from Terrace Bagel in Brooklyn and a coffee.

Baby shower gift

I have been working on this album for a friends baby shower coming up next month. The products are from a kit I picked up at LSS. The kit is by Rusty Pickle.

I hope she likes it!

I also made a card out of some scraps from my altered letter project.

Right now I am waiting for my my uncle and cousin to come. They flew into day from Ireland and driving down from the airport. I am going to have to start cooking dinner soon too. We are having roasted chicken, mashed potatoes and steamed veggies.

The chicken is one of those new oven roasters in a bag by Perdue. If you had not tried one I highly recommend it. 90 mins and it is cooked perfectly. Yummy!

Over at IL2C we are doing a alphabet altered challenge and I altered "T" and "E".

I also got a few cute pictures of Tyler. Tyler is in the middle of cutting his molars. All 4. So today has been every challenging. He has spent most of he crying. He also has a tummy bug going on. So I have been changing diapers like every 1 hour. We were supposed to host playgroup tomorrow but I canceled because I am not sure what is going on in that tummy. So I am hoping we can have a little pool party next week with this little friends.

I have had no motivation over the last month or so. But all of sudden I was on fire. I still have some more creative left in me so I need to get it on to paper before I lost it.

I took these pictures when I took Tyler to the park. He wasn't sure of the swing at first but once we got started he loved it!

Tyler and his pants

While I was preparing breakfast things were too quite in the living room. So I walk in to find Tyler with his pants off and hung around his neck pushing his bubble mower. He is just to funny sometimes.

I am hoping he takes a nap soon. He has been up since 5am and he woke up a few times last night crying. He is working on some molars so he has not been at his happiest when he is sleeping. There is good news on the teeth front. His 4 eye teeth finally popped through. Now we just have to get through these molars and some shifting and hope fully no more teething problems until his 2 year molars come in.

It was so hot on Friday we ran to the store and got Tyler a baby pool so he could cool off. Matt and I were tempted to sit in the pool ourselves it was so HOT!

The Dinning Room

So Matt and I have decided to get our house organized and give it a fresh coat of paint.

We are starting with the dinning room. We are going to clean very thing out of the room tonight and if we don't finish tonight then tomorrow night too. Then we are going to paint and put the picture's back up and put the furniture back into place.

Here are the before picture's. Keep in mind it is really mess in there because we just finished dinner and I have my scrap stuff in there so it is ready to go to a crop tomorrow night.

After dinner we took Tyler outside so he could expel so energy.

Took Ty to the playground today

This morning I decided to take Tyler to the playground so he could expel some of his energy. He loved the swing and the playgroup stuff. He loves stairs so up and down he went.

We bought Tyler a bubble mower Sunday night when we went to Toys"R"Us. He loves his new toy. I took a few picture's tonight of Tyler and the mower and I took a few picture's of Tyler and his dad.

I think I might make a brag book for Matt of the picture's I took this evening.
