Weight Loss and Getting Healthy

So I went to the doctor the other day for a follow up on my blood work and he was not happy. I wasn't happy myself. Everything was slightly elevated. Which expected because my weight has increased by 60lbs since my dad got sick. I have been emotionally and stress eating for almost 2 years and it has to stop.

So today I am starting my new plan. I am cutting portions, counting calories and walking 20mins 3x a day 4 days a week. Some walking will be at the gym some will be around the neighborhood.

I have to do this so the weight will come off and I will be healthy again.

I was floored when I realized I weigh more now then when I was pregnant with Ty. All I keep thinking is how did I let that happen? when did this happen?

Stay tuned for updates!

I totally understand how you are feeling! I am working on getting healthy right now too. I am overweight and out of shape, but not for long. Walking has been a great stress reducer for me. It gives me a little time away to think and be alone with no kids hooting and hollering in my ear. I take a different path each time (in the same general area for safety purposes) and try to go uphill as much as possible. I hated it at first, but I love it now.
I believe in you! You can do this!

I know how you feel girl!! You look in the mirror or the dr. looks at you and says you HAVE to loose weight. Then you really look at your current weight and go how did I get here to this # on the scale. It is so much easier and way more fun to gain then to loose it. But I know you can do it I will cheer you on like you have with me and my weight lose. Today is the day to start your new heathlier life.

Trish....I so am supporting you! I have struggled with my weight all my adult life. Walking helps me but the weather has been so crappy I have fallen behind. I did walk last week several times. I try to do a 30 minute walk. I really get rid of at least 30 pounds. Fifty would be better but I am going to do it one pound at a time.
You can do it - you are a strong person.

Getting told by a doctor and abnormal lab work is definately good motivation!

Good luck, I know it's hard!

As soon as our kitchen is done, we'll all be starting, can't do much until then though!
